St. George Trip!

This past week was Spring Break for USU and we decided to take a trip to St. George for the week! We figured that with Danny's internship this summer, we probably won't be able to take a long vacation, so we took it now. It was fabulous! The weather was amazing and it was great to get away for a while. Here's an overview of what we did for the week:
Tuesday: We drove down to S. Utah after I got off work at 1 and got there at about 7. We didn't do much that night, but we did enjoy the pool and hot tub, as well as the free cable :)
Wednesday: We went to Snow Canyon State Park. It was pretty sweet. The park itself is only like 4 miles long, but very cool! We went on some hikes and saw some cool sites with lava rocks and stuff.
Here are some fun pics:

Thursday: I made Danny come with me on a Historical Tour of St. George. He wasn't too excited about it at first, but it turned out really fun!

We went to the Tabernacle, Brigham Young's Winter Home, and all sorts of cool stuff! We also went to the temple that morning and that was cool. It was a fun day!

Friday: We visited Zion's National Park on this day and it was a lot of fun! We hiked some trails that took us to three sets of 3 different pools and some other interesting places. It was really beautiful!

In Zion's, there's this really cool tunnel that's about a mile long. It was built in 1930 and there aren't any lights in the tunnel, other than headlights and the occasional break in the tunnel which let in the sunlight. Pretty cool! We also saw the Zion's movie on the biggest screen in the West! It was awesome. We didn't go on any major hikes, but it was still a great day!

Saturday: We went to the Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum, where this couple has traveled the world and has captured all of these endangered and exotic animals. You go on this tour with a telephone thing and as you walk through the museum, you enter in a number and it explains where the animals are from and stuff. The guy who started the museum had some cool stories about how he got some of the animals.

We also hit up the Outlets in St. George and saw a movie later that night. We also took a quick self-guided tour of Dixie State College, my mom's alma mater. Here's Danny being a little silly on their campus.

We also did a lot of swimming and general relaxing. It was fabulous! We really enjoyed the break and it was really difficult to go back to work and school today, but we are slowly working our way back into that.

Here's a couple of funny videos of these birds that we were feeding while we were in Snow Canyon. They were picking up the bread we were throwing for them and then as more birds came over, they were starting to get territorial and stuff. It was really funny!

Givin' Blood!

A couple of weeks ago, Danny and I gave blood at a blood drive for our stake. Danny had never given blood before so it was a first for him. Here's just what we looked like all poked up and stuff. I had to be poked in both arms because they couldn't find a good vein in my right arm.
